Founded in 1862, Stockmann is the largest department store in Scandinavia. Here you can find everything you need, for example delicious food, latest fashion, design and souvenirs.

The flagship of the department store chain, located in the heart of Helsinki, offers more than 50,000 square meters of shopping space across ten floors. Stockmann is famous for its wide selection of products and excellent customer service. Besides the flagship store, you can feel the Stockmann spirit at five other Stockmann department stores in Finland: Tapiola, Itis and Jumbo in the metropolitan region, as well as in two other cities, Tampere and Turku.

The downtown department store was completed in 1930 and has been expanded several times. The latest expansion project was completed in 2010. The department store’s sales area is now 50,000 m2.

Visitor Service in
the Helsinki Department Store

Stockmann’s Visitor Service provides travellers with local information about Helsinki. The staff are very helpful and fluent in several languages. They are also happy to give you advice on tax free matters and write tax free cheques for you. Visitor Service is located on the 8th floor of the Helsinki City Centre Stockmann department store.


» Stockmann Itis

The department store was opened in conjunction with the shopping centre in 1992.
It moved to a new locale in the Itis shopping centre in November 2013.

» Stockmann Tapiola

The Tapiola department store was opened in 1981. The store was expanded in 1987, 1990 and in 1998. New renovated and improved department store was opened in March 2017.

The Jumbo department store, which is the newest department store in Finland and is located in the Jumbo shopping centre, was opened in 2005.

» Stockmann Tampere

The second oldest Stockmann department store is located in Tampere. It was opened in 1957 and has already gone through a major regeneration when it moved into completely new premises at the other end of Hämeenkatu. In addition, the store has been upgraded and expanded in 1999–2000.
